Simulator: Cellular

The Cellular window simulates the cellular connection, including support for voice calls and DTMF.

This window can be used to simulate different cellular network parameters as well as simulating phone calls to and from the VPL application.

 

Status:

Power

This shows if the Cellular module has been powered on.

 

Off hook

This shows when a simulated voice call is in progress.

 

Parameters:

SIM card present

This controls whether the SIM card is present in the RTCU device.

 

Signallevel

This number will be presented to the RTCU when gsmSignalLevel is called.

 

LAC

This number will be presented to the RTCU when gsmGetLAC is called.

 

Cell ID

This number will be presented to the RTCU when gsmGetCellID is called.

 

Status

This is the status of the connection of the simulated phone to the GSM network.

 

Disconnected
The simulated phone is not connected to the GSM network.

 

Connected
The simulated phone is connected to the GSM network.

 

Searching
The simulated phone is searching for a provider.

 

Access denied
The simulated phone cannot connect to the GSM network.

 

Current provider

This sets the GSM PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network Number) of the provider the simulated phone is currently connected to.

 

Network type

This selects which network type to report when calling gsmGetNetworkType.

 

 

Phone:

Hangup

This rejects or terminates a connection with the simulated phone.

 

Call

This accepts or initiates a connection with the simulated phone.

 

0 - 9, *, #

This sends DTMF tones from simulated phone.

 

Caller ID

This number will be presented to the RTCU when a call is made to the RTCU using this phone.
