Quick Start Guide: Setup and Software Installation

This guide provides the essential steps to prepare the development environment and install the necessary software to begin building RTCU applications. For comprehensive hardware installation, wiring diagrams, and power requirements, please consult the Technical Manual specific to the RTCU device in use.
 
 

Hardware Prerequisites
 
While the RTCU M2M Studio includes a powerful simulator, the following components are required to interface with physical hardware:

1.Antennas and Power Ensure the device is equipped with the appropriate Cellular and GNSS/GPS antennas and is powered according to the specifications found in its technical manual.

2.SIM Card A valid SIM card is required for applications utilizing cellular connectivity.

3.Programming and Service Cable Most RTCU devices interface with a PC via a standard USB cable.

oUSB Drivers: The USB Programming Port driver package must be installed. This is available for download at www.logicio.com.

4.PC System Requirements

oProcessor: 2 GHz Intel/AMD or better.

oMemory: 8 GB RAM (12 GB recommended).

oStorage: 250 MB available disk space.

oOperating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.

oConnectivity: One available USB port and an internet connection for software activation and updates.

 

Software Installation
 
The RTCU M2M Studio is the tool for developing, testing, and deploying applications.

1.Download: Access the latest version of the RTCU M2M Studio awww.logicio.com.

2.Installation: Run the installer file (e.g., M2MStudio_vX_XX.msi) and follow the on-screen instructions.

3.Launch: Once installation is complete, the application can be opened from the Windows "Start" menu.

 
Product Registration
 
Upon the initial launch, the software will prompt for registration. Completing this process ensures access to critical email notifications regarding new versions, feature releases, and platform enhancements.
 
 

Learning and Support
 
Once the RTCU M2M Studio is operational, several resources are available to assist with the development process:

Online Help: Accessible via the "Help" menu within the RTCU M2M Studio.
